B’laster Products Now Available in Mexico

Exclusive Latin American launch partner is AutoZone® Mexico
Unique product education initiative will help consumers understand the difference between a penetrant and a lubricant
B’laster Pro-Grade PB-50 Multi-Purpose Lubricant formulated with Teflon™ fluoropolymer to enhance performance
Cleveland, Ohio, June 21, 2017 – The B’laster Corporation, the makers of the #1-selling penetrant, PB B’laster, announced today that two of their most popular products are now available in Mexico. Consumers in Mexico can purchase the Original PB B’laster Penetrant and B’laster Pro-Grade PB-50 Multi-Purpose Lubricant at their local AutoZone® store. PB-50 Multi-Purpose Lubricant is formulated with Teflon™ fluoropolymer to help reduce friction and wear, enhance performance and protect surfaces.

Since 1957, B’laster has delivered professional-grade penetrants, lubricants, rust inhibitors and a full line of specialty formulas for professionals and consumers in the U.S. B’laster products are designed to ensure the job gets done right, the first time.

“We’re thrilled to be offering our professional-grade products in Mexico with our exclusive Latin American launch partner, AutoZone Mexico,” said Randy Pindor, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing at B’laster. “Their sophisticated market presence and understanding makes them an ideal partner for us. In addition to helping us make progress on our strategic goal of international expansion, this launch is also a welcome opportunity to build on our strong relationship with AutoZone in the U.S.”

An important element of B’laster’s launch in Mexico is product education. According to Pindor, consumers there (as in the U.S.) are unfamiliar with penetrants such as PB B’laster, and as a result, don’t always use the right product for their job.

Penetrants like PB B’laster are best used to break through rust and corrosion on a stuck or immobilized part. Lubricants such as B’laster Pro-Grade PB-50 Multi-Purpose Lubricant should be used on anything that is sticking or squeaking to reduce friction on moving parts, displace and repel moisture, and help prevent further rust and corrosion.

“B’laster has designed a unique program that involves fun and engaging ways to help Mexican consumers learn about the difference between penetrants and lubricants,” Pindor continued. “We will be working with AutoZone store managers and associates through welcome kits and contests, as well as looking to leverage social media and videos to reach potential customers.

This is an exciting step for the company, and we look forward to additional opportunities for growth in Mexico and throughout the Latin American region.”

While this is the company’s first time selling into Mexico in their 60-year history, B’laster has experienced success in the Canadian marketplace since first introducing their products there more than a decade ago. The company announced today their expanded retail presence in Canada with The Home Depot® and Canadian Tire. B’laster has also entered the Canadian industrial market with Wajax as their exclusive industrial distributor.

All B’laster products are made in the U.S. and will ship to Mexico and Canada from the company’s warehouse in Medina, Ohio.
